I’ve always loved long drives. Because of that, I generally prefer travelling to Kuala Lumpur via bus instead of via aeroplane.
Plus, the time taken to get through security, collect luggage and wait for boarding seems to take ages…
But if I had gone through what this group of friends allegedly went through, I would stick to planes. Period.
S’poreans Involved In Accident OTW To KL After Bus Driver Didn’t Sleep For 3 Days
A group of friends were making their way to Kuala Lumpur via bus when their plans got derailed due to an accident.
In the middle of the night, their bus swerved off the road and landed on its side.
Imagine if you were sleeping and you got jolted like beans in a can.
A Facebook user by the name of Kahironbe Mirah-mohideen took to Facebook to share their daughter’s experience while she was travelling with her group of friends.
Driver Allegedly Did Not Sleep For 3 Days
What’s perhaps most disconcerting is the fact that the bus driver allegedly had not slept for 3 days, although it is unclear where he received the information.
Further, the bus company allegedly did not try to contact the passengers involved in the accident after.
This also meant that they did not bother to check on the injuries of the affected passengers or ask how they were doing.
They had also tried to call the bus company, however, they remained uncontactable.
The bus company’s name is understood to be Billionstars Express.
Sounds like really great customer service.
Another Passenger Posted About The Incident
It wasn’t just one person who took to Facebook to complain about the incident.
Another netizen also said that she nor her friends received an apology from the company.
I feel truly sorry that their much anticipated holiday to Kuala Lumpur got derailed like this.
One of the pictures had various officials captured at the scene of the accident, which makes me wonder how the bus company got away with not giving any statement.
We wish the passengers a speedy recovery and hope that no one will have to go through such an experience.
