For the past year or so, the “keto diet” has been becoming increasingly popular, with more and more people wanting to give it a shot in order to lose some weight.
In case you’ve still never heard of it before, the keto diet, or ketogenic diet, is a low-carb and high-fat diet which aims to put your body in a state of ketosis. When this happens, your body starts to burn fat instead of carbs for fuel.
However, this diet – just like almost all diets – is not that easy to follow. You’re only allowed to have 5% of carbohydrates in your food. This means saying goodbye to things like bread, rice, potatoes, sugar, and even fruits.
Basically, saying goodbye to everything good.
Seriously Keto Is Now A Dine-In Store
But luckily, the diet is no longer as demanding as it used to be. If you want to shed a few kilos and give the keto lifestyle a try while also still being able to enjoy your pastries and sweet treats once in a while, Seriously Keto has got you covered.
Founded by Janti Joso Brasali, Seriously Keto is Singapore’s first wholly ketogenic bakery that serves a variety of delicious keto eats.
It started off as an online platform, which shared a kitchen with The Happy Pancake Café (now known as Café O One) at Orchard Central. Customers could place their keto orders online and either head down to the kitchen for self-collection, or opt for delivery.
After receiving such an amazing response from the growing keto community in Singapore, they have just opened their first physical dine-in store on 32 Seah Street.
Menu Items
While the store at Seah Street still mostly caters to takeaways, there are 10 seats available if you and your friends would like to enjoy some of Brasali’s popular desserts on the spot.
Their menu features low carb, gluten-free items that contain absolutely no sugar. Other than selling the desserts that they’re already so well-known for, Seriously Keto has also expanded their menu to serve savouries as well.
This includes items like garlic pretzels and ricotta spinach quiche.
Apart from their ready-to-eat stuff, Seriously Keto has also gone the extra mile to provide their customers with the raw ingredients, like medium-chain triglycerides Oil ($16/100ml) and activated charcoal ($10/item), that they can buy and bring home to maintain their own keto diets.
Despite the whole zero sugar thing, their desserts still look pretty darn amazing.
Chocolate Deluxe
Containing only 5.1g of carbs per serving, this chocolate confection is the perfect balance of fluffy and fudgy, with 90% extra fine dark chocolate elevated by a splash of decaf coffee for extra richness and roast. ($5.90)
Utter Nutter
Made with low-carb MCT oil for a unique non-cloying consistency, this creamy peanut butter spread sticks to your mind, not the roof of your mouth, and it only contains 5.2g of carbs per jar. ($7.90)
Not to mention, their brand new savoury items on the menu, which look extremely delicious as well.
Love Me Knots
Containing only 4.9g of carbs each, these almond flour pretzels topped are with chopped garlic and will give a nice cheesy hit when you bite into them. ($5.90)
These are only a few of the many amazing things that Seriously Keto has to offer. All these items will be available at the dine-in store while stocks last.
So if you want to eat some seriously good food that’s healthy at the same time, you know where exactly to go.
