Metro at The Centrepoint will be shutting its door after 15 Sept 2019.
They are currently having their closing down sales, with items going at up to 85% off storewide.
So for boyfriends who are looking for a better way to part ways with your girlfriend, buy her expensive shoes as a breakup gift.
Just kidding – don’t stoop till that level ah.
Or, buy an expensive bag to impress your other half, at a discounted price.
Make Way For The Sporting Goods Giant
For all fitness junkies out there, GOOD NEWS FOR YOU ALL!
Decathlon will be taking over Metro as an anchor tenant at The Centrepoint, although it is unclear as to whether they will be taking over all 6 floors that Metro was occupying.
Despite not being a huge fan of Decathalon, I must say that they do offer a really huge variety of sporting goods at an affordable price, which ranges from sports attire to picnic blankets and even scooters!
Not Your Usual Decathlon
The spokesperson of Decathlon said that the upcoming store at The Centrepoint will offer an “immersive and activity-based concept” where virtual simulations and augmented reality components will be used to create a more realistic condition for shoppers when trying out the products.
Sounds damn fancy.
They will also be holding regular events such as Zumba and Yoga Classes, as well as sports demonstrations and talks so as to introduce a more experiential and lifestyle concept.
Punggol-ians, Look Out!
Not only will Decathlon be taking over The Centrepoint, but they will also be stepping foot at Waterway Point too!
According to Decathlon’s spokesperson, they will be opening a click-and-collect store at Waterway Point.
Customers will be able to place orders online and pick up their products from Waterway Point outlet within 2 hours.
Talk about efficiency.
The click-and-collect store will also be selling a small range of products – you know, just in case you have more money to spare while picking up your items.
