Lest you’re unaware, Jewel Changi Airport has been opening to much fanfare recently. Small wonder really, considering the number of big-name shops opening their doors in the establishment.
Shake Shack.
A & W.
Pokemon Center.
But here’s the thing: it’s not just the new, big-name franchises that are in the limelight, as even its rendition of Starbucks will be a little extra special…
Complete with 2 storeys, local-inspired food and a flagship title.
Which the folks at mothership.sg has explored and let’s just say it’s lit af.
Damn, Jewel Changi Airport, you’re really nailing it, aren’t you?
Starbucks flagship store
Starbucks’s all-new flagship store at Jewel Changi Airport boasts two storeys’ worth of space, plenty of art and murals, and exclusive merchandise not found anywhere else in Singapore.
I can already sense all the merchandise junkies preparing their wallets. Can you sense it too?
But I’m digressing; apart from the showcase of its flagship-exclusive apparel, level 1 is also where the ordering counter is located at.
As for the price of drinks, an average beverage would set you back around $7 – S$8 here. That figure could, however, increase to S$14.90 for a cold brew malt.
And as mentioned earlier on, locally-inspired food items will also be available to patrons.
Lest your inner foodie is wondering, sumptuous treats such as their Satay Chicken Ciabatta (S$10.90), Hainanese Chicken Rice Quinoa Salad (S$11.90) and Milo Chocolate Tiramisu (S$8.90) will be up on offer.
Would ang mos buy them?
As for the seats, they line the right side of the store, and a staircase leads you to level 2.
Level 2
As you traipse up the stairs, you’ll notice an artistic depiction of the Starbucks siren on the wall.
Beautiful, seductive and seemingly deadly, the siren seems to be the perfect illustration of Starbuck’s drinks. Delicious, fattening and seemingly costly. Just kidding.
Thereafter, complete the dreaded series of stairs you’ll notice seats and sofas in a cosy setting.
Lots of seats and sofas.
As for the art gurus, you’ll be enchanted to know that a separate room on the same floor, termed the art room, possesses a collection of original pieces of art.
We also expect the window seats to be much in demand, considering how they arguably boast the best view.
Unless, of course, the seat opposite you is being occupied by an attractive person of the opposite gender.
Then that’s probably the best view.
And so… what’re you waiting for?
If you’re all about the Starbucks experience, or just want to find a comfortable and conducive (probably) environment to study in, this is the place for you.
Address: 78 Airport Blvd, #02-204, Singapore 819666.
