Stella Huang Begins New Chapter with Marriage to Jon

Stella Huang, a former pop star, has officially remarried, tying the knot with her long-rumoured Caucasian boyfriend, Jon.

This news marks a new chapter in Stella’s life, bringing joy and excitement to her fans.

The first hint of their relationship emerged in Jan 2022 when eagle-eyed fans noticed an additional Caucasian “guest” at Stella’s father’s birthday celebration.

In a full family photo taken at the event, Jon was prominently positioned in the centre, standing out as the only non-Asian person in the group.

During the Chinese New Year’s bainian celebration last year, Stella and Jon appeared together in what seemed like a sweet family portrait.

They were framed alongside Ashton, Stella’s son, further solidifying their relationship in the public eye.

In May 2022, Jon was again in the spotlight, this time in a photograph with Stella’s 72-year-old mother.

The picture, showing Stella’s mother holding a Mother’s Day flower bouquet while posing with Jon, added to the speculation about the nature of Stella and Jon’s relationship.

By that time, most fans had pieced together the true nature of their relationship. It became increasingly apparent, especially considering Jon’s early interactions with Stella’s parents.

However, Stella and Jon did not make their relationship officially public until 29 July of this year.

They chose a special occasion for the announcement: Jon’s birthday.

Stella shared a heartfelt post on Instagram, expressing her love and gratitude towards Jon. She wrote, “Happy birthday to my love. Thank you for loving me the way I am and just being such a wonderful partner! I love living life with you❤️”

From Bainian to Exchanging Wedding Vows

On 15 Oct, just a month ago, Stella and Jon celebrated their love by tying the knot.

The wedding took place amidst the lush greenery of Dempsey Hill, at the Siri House, known for its cosy and intimate setting, accommodating up to 60 guests.

Stella shared their wedding photos on Instagram, where the couple appeared radiantly happy, evidently deeply in love.

In the caption, Stella poignantly wrote, “Never above you. Never below you. Always beside you.” This sentiment resonated with many, including Stella’s celebrity friends like Chen Xiu Huan and Hitomi Wu, who left numerous congratulatory messages.

In the photos, Jon’s gentle and caring nature was evident, as he was seen tenderly holding Stella from behind.

According to Taiwan’s Mirror Media, Jon, who is 7 years older than Stella, works in the pharmaceutical industry and has children from a previous marriage, indicating a rich and diverse life experience.

Their relationship began through an online app, and interestingly, Jon was initially unaware of Stella’s celebrity status. Stella’s younger brother, when contacted for more details about Jon, chose to protect Stella’s privacy by not divulging much.

The presence of Ashton, Stella’s son, at the wedding remains unconfirmed. However, various photos posted by Stella indicate an already-close bond between Ashton and Jon.

As of April this year, Ashton had reportedly moved to Japan to live with his biological father and Stella’s ex-husband, Armstrong Yeh.

Veteran Star’s Amicable Divorce

In 2020, Stella and Armstrong filed for divorce and returned to Singapore from Canada with Ashton.

Though the reason for the divorce remains private, it was described as amicable.

Both Stella and Armstrong have moved on to new relationships, with Armstrong reportedly now having a stable girlfriend.

For those who grew up in the early 2000s, Stella Huang is a familiar name in the Singapore music scene.

She entered the entertainment industry at 18, writing lyrics for artists including Fann Wong.

Her singing debut, under a Taiwanese recording label, presented her as the girl-next-door, a persona that she maintained throughout her stardom.

Her acting debut in Marmalade Boy, where she co-starred with F4’s Ken Chu, skyrocketed her popularity.

However, in 2005, at the height of her career, Stella made the surprising decision to leave showbiz, seeking to protect herself from unwanted sexual harassment in the industry.

While Stella’s time in the spotlight may have ended, her new life with Jon symbolises a fresh and blissful beginning.
