At Goody Feed, I have the fortune of writing thousands of articles a week. Just past million a month. And of that plethora of article topics, I stumble upon a multitude of different subjects: crime cases, lifestyle topics, reviews, etc, etc.
Yet, even though I draft out so many articles, there are certain topics that really appeal to me, topics that really stand out even amongst this packed crowd.
Heartwarming topics like the one I’m about to embark on…
Stuff’d Offering Free Food To Needy Kids Below 14 Years Old At Yishun Northpoint Outlet
Free Food To Needy Kids Below 14 Years Old
Now, I’m sure everyone recognises Stuff’d as that Mexican-Turkish takeaway chain, which specialises in dietary-friendly options like customisable kebabs, burritos, daily bowls, tacos and quesadillas.
But here’s the thing; pretty soon, Stuff’d will be known for so much more than its healthy, sumptuous burritos…
It’ll be recognised as a good ol’ Samaritan too.
For just four days ago, on 18 April, the Mexican-Turkish chain announced some category-exclusive good news:
Kids below the age of 14 years old will be entitled to free food from Stuff’d outlets (starting with Northpoint City).
Transcript (lest you can’t read):
“Stuff’d Free Food for Kids 2019
Many kids have access to the internet.
Not all have access to safe, nutritious food.
It does not have to be this way.
Let us know if you’re below 14 years old and face difficulties getting enough food.
We can help.
We’re doing this to make sure that our kids will not go hungry, and that they have access to better, nutritious food no matter their circumstances
A card will be provided that allows you to collect food daily from our outlet. So that you’ll have one less worry in life.
To better understand the demand as well as to develop the mechanism for it, we’ll first roll it out at Stuff’d Northpoint outlet in Yishun. Do message us even if you do not live near Yishun as we will try to roll it out to outlets near you.
If you need this, please come forward. Life is always easier when you have a friend (that’s us!). Please DM us @stuffedsg or [email protected] and let us know. We’ll ask a few gentle questions to ascertain and understand the situation you’re in.
If you’re an existing social organization, school or teacher that is already caring for some of our children and think you might like additional help, do contact us and we’ll try to make some arrangements too!
Please save It for the really genuine cases (if you are not sure whether you qualify, then you are probably the lucky majority that do not need this).
Caveat! We would love for you to volunteer for 1 day with any charity of your choice any time this year. Do it with your friends or family and have fun!
Happy Easter! #stuffedsg #stuffd“
Reception
Suffice it to say; the post soon went viral, with over 400 Likes / Hearts, 387 shares and counting.
And while there were few comments, nearly all of them resonated of one single sentiment:
Approval.
Wondering about the odd one out? Well, the commenter actually preached a rather interesting notion.
Know the actual answer? Well, you can help them out here. 🙂
But all comments aside, kudos for the gesture, Stuff’d! For too long we’ve lived from our own perspective, believing that the rest of Singapore is just as fortunate as us when it’s evidently not.
And so, thanks for pointing that out to us, and for offering so many children the luxury of good, wholesome food once again.
You’re the best!
