A 59-year-old man was initially taken to the hospital in an unconscious state but ended up succumbing to the injuries. He passed on thereafter.
Four other men had to be conveyed to Changi General Hospital but they were conscious.
Just so you know, the Singapore Civil Defense Force had to use hydraulic equipment to rescue someone trapped in the driver’s seat. Just imagine the impact created.
A 33-year-old male driver was arrested for risky driving amounting to death.
Footage circulated on social media thereafter showed how the Mercedes car was allegedly racing.
Man who passed on was a new private hire driver
According to Chinese daily Shin Min Daily News, the man who died was a relatively new private hire driver. Mr Kenn Wong was previously an artist but switched jobs because of the pandemic.
Wong was an artist who bolstered 25 years of experience and also conducted home lessons as an art teacher.
Tan Khoon Yong, an established fengshui practitioner who was a student of Wong, told Shin Min that he met Wong 10 years ago.
Apparently, a friend had recommended Wong to Tan as an art teacher. He recounted Wong as a “kind and patient teacher whom he had learned a lot from”.
