TCM Practitioner ‘Massaged’ Woman’s Breast to ‘Improve Blood Circulation’ & Even Gave Her Lewd Sexual Advice

It appears that molestation strategies are getting more and more outlandish in nature.

According to TODAYonlinea 74-year-old Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioner has been charged for molesting a patient, under the pretext that…

It would help to improve blood circulation.

Rough Gist

According to the news report, the 39-year-old victim had purchased a tui na massage package back in 2018, and would visit Xin Hua TCM Clinic at Tanjong Pagar for massages.

On 24 September 2018, a female masseuse advised the victim to see a doctor for her persistent cough problems.

The latter proceeded to consult the accused, Lim Ah Bah.

Apparently, Lim referred to her low blood pressure reading and concluded that the massage was useless, and went on to diagnose seeming “blockage” in her body.

He then used massage oil to massage her upper body, while inquiring about her personal life and her marital status.

Upon completion, he reportedly asked her to return the following week for more follow-up procedures, stating that “a lot of blockages” remained.

As the victim’s cough reportedly disappeared within three days, she became “pleasantly surprised” and went back to the clinic on 1 October.

It was then that Lim’s endeavours became even more ‘sus’ in nature.

So if you recall, Lim was particularly curious about the victim’s personal life the first time around.

On the second occasion, he reportedly inquired whether she had a boyfriend, and even advised her to have more sex in order to fix the blockage.

Lim then proceeded to recommend tui na, stating that he would need to massage her private parts with gel. She rejected and expressed that she would do it herself.

Subsequently, he lifted her top and carried out a massaging procedure with oil.

As there were two to three cups on the top part of her chest, due to cupping and acupuncture procedures, she could not move.

Lim then spread deer musk powder on her chest and reportedly molested her.

Feeling uncomfortable, she requested to cease the treatment and left.

That very night, she researched online and found that there was no such treatment.

She also clarified with another female TCM practitioner, who said that Lim was crazy to have applied such a ‘procedure’.

The victim swiftly confronted Lim over the phone, only to be told that he had purportedly applied the treatment procedure on another female patient. He also added that the woman was “very healthy and very happy” after that.

After collecting voice recordings of the call, she filed a police report.

Sentenced

In court, Lim tried to justify his method, claiming that it was a “secret technique” not found in any book.

He also accused the victim of seducing him by lifting her shirt and asking that he suck her breasts. Additionally, he also claimed that all he did was gave her a foot massage using a lubricant.

In the end, he was found to be guilty, and was convicted of four charges on 30 June 2021.

He will be back in court on 5 August 2021 for mitigation and sentencing.

For each molestation charge, he could face jail of up to two years, a fine or both.

For insulting a woman’s modesty, he could incur another year’s worth of imprisonment.

Previous Instances

Unfortunately, such instances aren’t entirely non-existent.

A few years back, a 32-year-old woman who cannot be named had suffered from back pain, and went to various tui na (Traditional Chinese Medical Massage for you non-Chinese) practitioners in Singapore and Malaysia.

She, however, failed to get better.

The “master” at a temple she goes to then recommended Willet Ong Tat Kee, 67, who he claims can “save her”.

She then went into Ong’s home in July 2016.

Ong then instructed her to change into a tube top and a pair of shorts he provided. During the trial, Ong massaged her entire body and even pulled down the tube top, touched her breasts and pressed against her pubic bone.

Ong had told her that he did so to “prevent” breast and cervical cancers.

Apparently, he sold the story convincingly enough that the woman paid him, left the premises and then returned three more times later.
