Just a few weeks back, yours truly shared how Xaviertybakes came up with an awe-inspiring birthday cake which featured a 4D ticket, golden coins and ingots, some mahjong tiles and an ATM mechanism that dispenses cash.
Very apt and huat, considering how CNY is nearing.
Here’s the article and the original video which went viral (with 42K views as of now):

Color Nail Yien Yien
Carrying on in a similar vein, Color Nail Yien Yien , a Malaysia-based beauty retailer has introduced a similar festive line of product to welcome CNY fully into our midst.
If you were born in the 80s/90s and watched television before the days of cable TV and Netflix, chances are you would have seen (more repeatedly than one should, I’ll admit) one or two of these festive gambling shows while growing up.
Like these:
Other than the Poker variant, there was also the inevitable Mahjong variant which possibly inspired me to such great heights today.
Which brings me to this:
Are you kidding me?
That’s awesome.
If you still aren’t sure what these are, these are basically mahjong-inspired nail stickers that would make every self-proclaimed gambling god go hu le!
Just imagine the possibilities; if you were having a bad hand, it would not be beyond impossible to sweep one unnecessary tile into the token tray and substitute it with your thumb right?
Or if you were a noob player like my friend N, who always plays till he xiao xiang gongs; he could very well just amputate (another) one of his digit to replace the missing tile right?
Never mind the bloodshed from all of that, for red is but the colour of prosperity.
Just so you get the full picture, every single suit is represented (tong zi, shuo zi, wan zi ) alongside the special characters.
Don’t believe me? Here you go:
If you’ve gambled all your money away and pawned off even your own mahjong set to pay your gambling debts, you can simply purchase 4 sets of these stickers (1 for each suit) to begin playing again.
Talk about second chances, arrrr.
That said, if you aren’t keen on the Mahjong-strain of stickers, Color Nail Yien Yien will possibly have something else you might fancy.
Such as:
These.
Or these.
One caveat though.
It does appear that Color Nail Yien Yien is based in Selangor which is a tad too far to procure mahjong tiles stickers.
But if you really love em’, feel free to maybe chat with them on FB?
Who knows, they may even begin exporting to SG or even set up a branch here.
Trust me, I’ll be the first to patronise them to get me some huat.
Queue up please.
