If I asked you how much you love bubble tea, you’d probably say, “I love it so much I want to swim in it”.
Well, now you actually can swim in it.
Literally.
But before that, maybe you can check out a video we’ve done about bubble tea first, because why not?
Done? Moving on…
Tokyo Tapioca Land
Here’s the ticket: there’s now a pop-up bubble tea theme park in Japan.
If you’re picturing water slides into a huge pool of Taro milk tea, well, that’s not exactly it. It’s less like a traditional theme park and more like a festival.
What’s its name? Tokyo Tapioca Land, of course.
While that sounds like a squishy, tasty island, it’s actually an Instagram-worthy festival full of bubble-tea-related paraphernalia. Remember when I said you could swim in bubble tea?
Come aboard the “tapioca ride”.
OK, so it’s basically a ball pit. But how many bubble-tea ball pits have you been in?
Tokyo Tapioca Land also has F&B stalls, ten photo spots, and celebrity ambassadors. And, of course, bubble tea.
What exactly do swings and trolleys have to do with bubble tea? We’re not sure.
But if you’ve ever felt unsatisfied with the lack of trolleys and swings in the area while you were having a bubble tea, then Tokyo Tapioca Land is the place for you.
If you’re heading to Japan and thinking of visiting the festival, pre-sale tickets have sold out, but regular tickets are still available at 1,200 yen (S$15.60).
The festival is in front of the Harajuku station and will last till September 16, 2019.
But, much like the bubble-tea-shop queues in Singapore, this bubble tea theme park looks crowded AF.
Is it worth going? Well, if you’re not interested in taking pictures for the gram, you could always try out their bubble tea.
A bubble-tea festival must have amazing bubble tea, right?
