There’s a S’pore Dating Service for ‘Elites’ Who Earn At Least $12.5K a Month

I’ve always wondered how rich people date.

Do they have their meals in MBS, go up the Singapore Flyer for an #OODT and if the night’s still young, they’ll just take a trip to the moon for some sightseeing?

Or are they so busy making money that they didn’t even have the time to date?

I won’t know since I’m just a lowly writer with Goody Feed, drawing a pay that only allows dates in hawker centres and a monthly Netflix subscription (yes, not even a pair of movie tickets).

But if you’re rich and are one who’s so busy that you’ve not got the time to find your soulmate for a trip to the moon, then this is for you.

And no, we’re not suggesting you fish in Tinder.

You’re high-SES. You need a platform that’s high-SES.

Introducing…Peerage, the “high-end matchmaking service that aims to ride along the sophisticated lifestyles of the affluent singles by ‘headhunting’ the finest candidates from superior database to extensive network in Singapore and across Asia.”

Oh wells. Even the words used are high-SES. I should use the word “affluent” instead of “rich” now.

Peerage, High-End Dating Service for Elites

Before that, let’s define “affluent”.

After all, BuffLord95 often claims that he’s the richest in the office simply because he travels to work in a Mercedes every day, but we all know it’s just SBS Transit buses.

According to a rather small text in the website, “The clients of PEERAGE are only exclusive to legally single individuals residing in Singapore with a minimum annual income of at least $150,000.”

In other words, you need to be single, live in Singapore and must have a monthly income of at least $12,500.

So rich parents’ kids are out since their income is $0 while their bank account is topped up automatically by their parents.

It serves the “time-starved, on-the-go, high-flier C-suite professionals and entrepreneurs who are top-notch singles and leaders in their own fields.”

I don’t know why, but it seems like the high-flier and entrepreneurs I know aren’t usually time-starved, since they’ve always said it’s a matter of priorities.

But anyways.

How does it work and how much it costs?

How it Works & The Cost

Unlike Tinder (or any dating services), each client has a dedicated relationship manager who’ll headhunt the “sophisticated candidates and present at least three (3) handpicked, finest matches at a time.”

(That one headhunter or matchmaker?)

Then they’ll arrange the dates for you.

The amount you’d have to fork out isn’t disclosed on their website, but according to Vulcan Post, fees start from $12,000.

I think for the elites, that’s just peanuts.

And if you’re one rich affluent fellow who’s wondering whether this is legit and not some fly-by-night company trying to make a quick buck, don’t worry: this service is by Lunch Actually, one of the most established and popular dating services in Singapore.

In the website, the CEO of Peerage (who’s also the CEO of Lunch Actually) provides the premise for this service: “It has been over 15 years of tremendous journey for the Lunch Actually Group. As thousands of our clients steadfastly grow in Southeast Asia, we have seen an increasing demand from a market niche who had expressed a great desire for a kind of professional service to suit their classy lifestyle.”

According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the word “peerage” actually means “The title and rank of peer or peeress”.

In the Peerage website, “peerage” suddenly means “high rank, a class, nobility, titled men/women, integrity, honour, virtue.”
