Singapore has definitely been flooded with dubious food trends in recent years from unicorn-flavoured drinks to Instagram-worthy fare.
These days, I reckon people don’t really care about how the food actually tastes. If it looks good on Instagram, it’s good enough for the taste bud.
Everyone is aware of this food trend, drinks served in light bulbs.
If you’re living under a rock, take a look at this video by the Insider:
Don’t worry, you don’t have to head to The Big Apple to taste these rad concoctions.
Singapore has a few shops selling them including Bubbs, which serves up bubble tea in a light bulb.
But want to up your Instagram game?
How about drinks served in a lit light-bulb?
Say whatttttttt?
Yes, you heard me right.
Don’t worry, no electrocution involved.
Drinks Served In Lighted Up Lightbulbs In S’pore
The café, I Light You (I see what you did there), located in the basement of 313@Somerset serves up drinks in a lighted bulb.
According to Mothership, they manage to light the bulb using a LED attachment.
If you could ever store your sweet dreams in a bulb, this is how it would probably look like:
Okay, you’ve got to admit it does look pretty and it’s the first café in Southeast Asia to serve LED light-bulb drinks.
I’m not too sure about the taste (you can add edible glitter) but for Instagram’s sake, I think it is worth a try.
After all, you know what they say, right?
Nowadays, it’s all food for the camera. #JustSaying
