The Strawberry Generation all over the world is getting worse—just in Singapore alone, we’ll have come across multiple businesses ran by rich dad’s kids that are “making money” by taking funds from their parents, and telling the world how successful their business is (when their, say, café is always empty).
But this—this takes the cake.
I mean, we’re used to what we’ve often defined as “ego business”, but this girl from China takes it to a whole new level.
It’s unknown how old she is, nor whether she really has rich parents—but one thing is for sure, the way she speaks and belittle others is just too much for us to handle.
In China, people like her (if she’s really rich, that is) are called 富二代; these kids (or mostly now young adults) like to flaunt their wealth on social media, posting images of their private jets and Lamborghini, and willingly admit that they got their wealth from their parents (somewhat different from Singapore 富二代 who like to run money-losing-yet-very-atas businesses).
It’s almost a certainty this girl will grow up to be one. Here’s the thing: I don’t know whether to pity them or to be envious of them. Well, actually, let’s just ignore them.
