Unlike the animals in Madagascar 3, who were desperate to join the circus, this tiger would literally die than to go back.

And when I say “literally”, I mean it.

The tiger was raised in Yuanyang, Henan province. He was set to perform in the circus’ first public show, which had not been registered with the local authorities.
In a video that has since gone viral, it showed that the tiger climbed and jumped out of the cage while the handlers tried to stop it with sticks. However, the tiger got away and ran to the nearby cornfields.
Search For The Tiger Began
Drones, police dogs and thermal imaging equipment was used to find the tiger.
An emergency advisory was issued by the authorities urging residents to stay indoors and to contact the police if they have any information on the whereabouts of the tiger.
It didn’t end well, though.
Tiger Died Shortly After It Was FoundÂ
They found the tiger the next day at 10.30am. The tiger was tranquillised before being transported back to a zoo in Xinxiang.
However, the tiger was dead when it reached the zoo.
A moment of silence for the fallen soldier who fought for his freedom.Â

Feng, the zookeeper, claimed that the tiger was hit by a car after it escaped and may have sustained internal injuries. The zoo is conducting an autopsy.
Thousands expressed their sympathy for the tiger’s plight on social media. Many called for animal circuses to be banned in China.
Singapore’s Take On Animal CircusesÂ
The Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) had imposed a ban in 2002 on performing wild animals in travelling circuses.
Singapore is one out of 19 countries in the world that have imposed a ban.
In 2017, SISTIC cancelled a Chinese dog circus show due to the overwhelming backlash from Singaporeans.

With that, I think we can all agree that animal circuses aren’t cool.
If you have the itch to watch animals perform, just search for “cat videos” on YouTube, please.
