A tour bus carrying 25 passengers crashed into a roadside barrier while travelling downhill from Genting Highlands on 21 Jun 2025.
The accident occurred at Km12 of Jalan Genting-Bentong in Bentong, Pahang, at around 7PM local time.
Bus Driver and Two Passengers Sustain Minor Injuries
A 54-year-old Malaysian bus driver lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a bend. The bus veered off the road before hitting a roadside barrier, nearly falling off a cliff.

Three people were injured in the crash, including the bus driver, who sustained minor injuries. A 74-year-old passenger and a foreign tourist were also hurt.
The remaining passengers escaped unharmed. All injured individuals were transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
Bentong district police chief Superintendent Zaiham Mohd Kahar confirmed that no other vehicles were involved in the mishap.
Police Advise Caution for Hill Road Travel
The tour bus was travelling from Genting Highlands to Serdang, Selangor when the accident occurred. The passengers included both local and international tourists.
The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has advised all road users to exercise caution when driving in hilly areas. They also recommend that drivers maintain their vehicles properly to help prevent such accidents.
