With TraceTogether tokens set to become a mainstay of the near future, it’s only natural that we would turn towards protective casings.
Just like how we did for our mobile phones, console portables and other miscellaneous stuff.
But the question begets;
Are there such casings in the market yet?
Well, as my colleague has since found out…
There are, and they are available both online and offline.
There Are TraceTogether Silicon Cases for Sale Both Online & Offline
Just recently, Facebook page Singapore Atrium Sale shared a great lobang on the social media site:
Apparently, there are now Trace Together silicon cases going at just $5.90/$6.90 at OG Albert Complex.
The cases appear to come in different colours and patterns, with aesthetic chinese characters decorating several of them.
They also come in different shapes and sizes, with consumers able to pick from oval, circle and rectangular renditions.
Iconic local catchphrases can be spotted as well.
The sale is reported to be taking place at level 2 of OG Albert Complex.
Online Versions
But if you don’t fancy travelling down just for a silicone case, rest assured; online versions are available as well.
Shopee, for instance, has numerous listings that go for around the same price.
There are also TraceTogether token covers and pouches for the anti-case personnel out there.
Designs also seem to be rampant and enticing, with some boasting the likes of Pikachu and Frozen on their surfaces.

Lanyard versions are available as well.
But if, say, you don’t like Shopee for some reason, no worries;
Lazada got your back too.

TraceTogether
From the very start, the government maintained that usage of the app or token would not be made mandatory.
However, in due time, you’ll either need the TraceTogether app or token to enter most public venues in Singapore, including restaurants, workplaces, schools, and shopping malls.
So essentially, you’ll no longer be able to check in at a public venue by scanning a QR code or NRIC, or by using the SingPass app.
This means that usage of the app or token will be more or less compulsory, unless you’re comfortable staying at home forever, without visiting eateries, workplaces, schools, shopping malls, or entertainment venues.
