If you remember, The Real Singapore created a big hoo-ha when the Singapore government went after them back in 2015.
Then the founders went to jail and serve time. Case closed.
Or is it?
Here’s what he said, and the other topics that Singaporeans are talking about today.
TRS Founder Unhappy That Others Say He Spread Fake News Deliberately For Money
Everyone knows The Real Singapore, right?
The website that published seditious articles that “incite anti-foreigner sentiments in Singapore, and deliberately fabricated articles and falsely attributed them to innocent parties”.
The website was shut down and the founders sent packing to jail.
After being released from prison, the couple opened a ramen shop and proceeded to live their normal lives.
Until the Public Policy Forum (PPF) brought them up again in their report against Human Rights Watch group.
Yang Kaiheng, one of the founders of now-defunct TRS was upset with PPF. Or more specifically, the accusation that they deliberately spread online falsehoods for money.
And as expected, netizens were not sympathetic at all.
Huh, interesting.
Anyway, you can now check them out at Takagi Ramen Shop. Reviews online have been great, so maybe the shutting down of the website is a good thing for them after all: it created a much better path for the couple.

SPF Arrest 102 People in 9 Day Operation at Geylang
There’s a reason why Singapore is a safe country, one of which is the fact that our SPF is super efficient.
So it shouldn’t come as too big a surprise when it’s announced that they arrested 102 people in Geylang, over the period of 9 days.
Yeah, 102 people.
Three were arrested for selling contraband cigarettes. Another 76 were arrested for offences relating to drugs, immigration violations, gambling, possession of weapons and for using criminal force against a public servant.
And 23 women who took part in vice activities.

Parents in China Send Their Toddlers To Golf & Leadership Classes
We all want the best for our kids, and we’re more than willing to give them the best that we can.
And that’s exactly what some parents in Guangzhou, China, is doing.
From shaking hands confidently and introducing yourself…
To playing golf.
And they’re paying sky-high prices for these lessons.
But there’s one thing you can learn from these parents: Success isn’t all about book-smarts. It’s also about Emotional Quotient or EQ.
Now, we’re not saying you need to spend thousands of dollars per month on that kind of lessons on your kids.
But hey, maybe instead of spoiling them silly, or sending them to tuition centres, you might want to focus on soft skills instead.
Getting Flu From Flights: Here’s The Seat That’ll Lower Your Chances
We love flying, but when you cramp hundreds of passengers into a metal contraption for hours, there are bound to be problems.
From fights to farts, and fights that started from farts, all sorts of things can happen on a flight.
Especially illnesses.
But airplane experts have revealed the top secret to not getting sick, and it’s all about where you sit.
As long as you sit more than 1 metre away from the infected person, and practise really, really good hygiene, you’ll have a lower chance of infection.
In other words, sit at a place which sees the least amount of movement and closest to the least amount of people.
Yup, we’re talking about the window seat.
Great view and less chance of getting sick? Sounds like a good deal.
Just make sure you empty your bladder and stomach before you board lah, because trying to get to the toilet is going to make a lot of people mad at you.
Cue fight.
