During the circuit breaker, indoor activities which don’t involve a lot of people are usually strongly encouraged.
Except, you know, that specific kind of activity requiring you to pay an attractive stranger for — how should I put this on this very family-friendly website? — “one on one duel”, “biology class”, or as Show Luo might put it, “group exercises”.
You might be wondering how these attractive strangers still manage to get clients in the middle of the circuit breaker since the rule states you can’t even visit your friend’s house. Which means that the place where they usually hang out is obviously not supposed to be open.
It seems like the answer is that they just break the rules anyway and do it in residential estates.
19 Men Found In Premises, 30 Women Arrested
Police from the Criminal Investigation Department and Central, Tanglin, Ang Mo Kio and Bedok divisions conducted coordinated raids between 4 May and 6 May in various HDB estates, private condos, massage establishments and a hotel.
In these places, they found 19 men, aged between 19 and 85. Yep, that’s an 85-year-old still going strong.
The men will be fined S$300 for flouting circuit breaker measures since they are found in premises that are not their homes.
Some of these people probably got to do some explaining at their real homes later.
The police also arrested 30 women, aged between 19 and 48, for suspected involvement in vice-related activities.
Serious question though: do these very friendly freelancers qualify for gahmen assistance? Like…SIRS?
Authorities Will Take Action For Vice Activities
The police warned that HDB will not hesitate to take action against flat owners and tenants for misusing flats for vice activities.

“HDB flat owners are responsible for conducting regular checks to ensure that their tenants do not misuse the flat, further rent out any part of the flat, or create nuisance to their neighbours, as specified under HDB’s terms and conditions,” the police said.
And if you’re a property owner, it’s your responsibility to make sure that doesn’t happen… unless your objective is to have a kopi session with our protectors dressed in blue.
“All property owners have a responsibility to ensure that such illicit activities do not take place in their properties. They should exercise vigilance and look out for suspicious or dubious tenants.”
Flat owners and tenants who knowingly allow their premises to be used for vice-related activities could be imprisoned for up to three years, fined up to S$3,000, or both, if convicted.
Agents or pimps for vice activities could be jailed for up to five years and fined up to S$10,000.
Errant massage establishment licensees could be jailed for up to two years, fined up to S$10,000, or both.
You can report any suspected vice-related activities to the police via the police hotline at 1800-255-0000, or their website.
