Fellow homeowners, how much money did you guys pay for the renovation of your BTO last time?
$40K? $50K? A friend of mine got his renovation done spending only approximately $36K. And I must say his house looks pretty nice, kinda reminds me of a cafe(Sorry for the lack of pics).
Another friend of mine actually spent close to $70K renovating his house, crafting his dream home from scratch.
Which is why I wasn’t too surprised to see people forking out $95K willingly to renovate their house.
Until I saw the video below.

…Wait, what.
All these things cost them $95K!?
Well, I know that the homeowners in the video wanted a Muji concept for their home and I must say that it looks really minimalistic and all—but $95K?!
If someone is willing to pay $95K for the renovations of a 4 room flat, they should just use the money to pay off the house instead!
Well, if that’s their choice and they are okay with it, who am I to judge, right? Why don’t we take a look at the comments section and see what the netizens have to say:
Ouch! I’m pretty sure this part was meant to be a joke, but these netizens are funnily savage!
Well, they are right you know. If I recall, their initial budget was $60,000 and it turned out to be $95,000—$35,000 over their budget. Heck, I wouldn’t agree to pay the sum either!
Furthermore, they took 6 weeks more than the agreed upon 10 weeks, finally completing everything in 16 weeks. I understand that delays do happen, but this definitely does not reflect well on them!
Well, ain’t this guy just savage. Cold hard truth for the win!
Oh and, the best comments are probably these ones below:
So, the homeowner, Max, is allegedly an interior designer working for D5 Studio Image? In other words…
Was the entire episode an inside job?
…Now it finally makes sense why he’s willing to fork out the $95K lah.
Anyway, these are all “other people say one lah”. Whether it’s true or not—well, I don’t really care. I just know that I won’t pay $95K for an interior design like this!
