Video Shows How Vivian Hsu Has Morphed into a Typical S’pore Auntie

Did someone say childhood crush?

Vivian Hsu, or better known as 徐若瑄, is definitely on my list.

I mean, look at how fine she still looks after all this time.

After losing track of my childhood girlfriends crushes for a period of time, it broke my heart to learn that she’s now a 44-year-old mum with a 4-year-old son.

Partly because it’s reminding me how I’m getting older as well, but it’s also mainly because this is yet another heartbreak after Rainie Yang hurt me by agreeing to her boyfriend’s proposal.

However, there’s a good side to the news regarding Vivian Hsu.

She’s living in Singapore.

That’s right, she’s closer to me than I thought.

As I said, I’ve lost track of her news for a while (like in sad romance movies) and she apparently married a Singaporean businessman Sean Lee and lives here now.

Maybe I ought to find out where she lives and apply for a BTO near her.

Maybe drop by at the market she goes to every morning.

What? You don’t think a superstar like her would go to the wet market personally?

How wrong you are.

In a video by VOGUE Taiwan, it was showcased just how much of a typical Singaporean housewife she has morphed into.

A day in the life of Vivian Hsu

To start off her Tuesday, after dropping off her son Dalton at school at 9:30 a.m., she had roughly two and a half hours to spare.

She goes to chill at a cafe, doing her EMBA work, as well as ‘studying’ English storybooks so that she could read them to Dalton.

Such a kiasu mother sweetheart, isn’t she?

At 11:15 a.m., she goes food shopping at a typical wet market.

Yes, on her own.

The video showcases how she chats up the fishmonger like any auntie would as she makes her purchases.

She also remarked how warm and friendly the people at the market are.

You’d have thought that an atas lady like her would buy her vegetables from a high-SES supermarket, right?

Fun-filled Afternoon

Vivian then goes to pick up Dalton from school at 12:00 p.m., bringing him for lunch at the Legendary 发传人 Bah Kut Teh restaurant.

There, she snips up the 油条 (dough fritters) for her son and feeds him, but not before cleaning his hands with her hand sanitiser.

At 2:30 p.m., she goes for more fun-filled grocery shopping at a supermarket with Dalton.

Then, at 3:30 p.m. is Dalton’s playtime, as she brings him to the Botanical Gardens for some football gaming.

After he’s exhausted, he gently says, “我要抱抱” (I want hug hug) to his mother, to which she complies and hugs him back to the car.

Is anyone else melting of wholesomeness here?

I want Vivian to hug me too 🙁

Peaceful Evening

In the evening, when Dalton is engrossed in playing with his toys (children are never tired for long), Vivian goes to the gym for a quick workout.

She apparently watches K-drama on the treadmill just like me. Don’t we have so much in common, Vivian?

To end her day off, she finds a quiet spot after her son and me her husband goes to bed for some “me time”, writing songs and practising her singing.

So, where does she live?

I’m not telling you. I want to find her myself.

But if you want, you could watch the video here and possibly deduce for yourself:
