If you’re new to the Wang Leehom saga, watch this 3-minute summary of the entire scandal first:
Compared to the WP Saga, the Wang Leehom saga is like a sprint while the WP Saga is a marathon.
Updates came within days, with some within the same day. Wang’s career is effectively over, and Lee Jinglei’s latest letter might have brought closure to the entire saga, since she’s got what she wanted: a sincere apology from Wang.
But just like a real sprint, injuries can occur and this comes in the Wang’s rumoured mistresses, with the exposé turning on the spotlight on two women: Taiwanese singer Vivian Hsu and BY2’s Yumi.
Both have denied being Wang’s friends with benefit, but without Lee’s admission that they are innocent, their names can’t be cleared.
They’ve also threatened legal actions but that didn’t seem to work.
BY2’s Yumi has allegedly attempted suicide due to the saga, while Vivian Hsu has posted not once, not twice but three times to deny any involvement with Wang Leehom.
Now, Vivian Hsu’s husband, Singaporean Sean Lee, has come out to defend her wife…via a law firm.
Vivian Hsu’s Husband Issues Statement About the Wang Leehom Saga Via His Lawyers
In a letter issued by his attorneys from Formosa Transnational, a large law firm in Taiwan, he said that he had been distraught by the public spat between Wang and Lee over the past few days, but is even more upset that his wife has been affected by the war of words between the two public figures.
He stood by his wife and said that the false innuendos and insults have affected his family’s peaceful lives, and also harmed the reputation of their marriage. Despite not being a public figure, he is Hsu’s husband and believed in her character.
He urged people to stop the harassments, innuendo, slander, insults and cyberbullying, and would do everything to protect his wife and his family.
He then thanked his friends and family members for their understanding and support.
There is, however, no explanation on why he has issued this statement via his lawyers.

Why Vivian Hsu Is Rumoured to be Wang Leehom’s Mistress
In Lee’s first nine-page exposé, she mentioned a married woman with kids as one of Wang’s sex partners. She talked about how they would continue to flirt even when they were in Wang’s house.
Additionally, Wang would also work together with this lady to lie to her husband.
Netizens, being the most efficient, underpaid and not the most accurate online detectives, quickly draw the conclusion that Lee was talking about Taiwanese singer and actress, Vivian Hsu.
But why her?
On 16 Sep, Wang had just completed his 14-day quarantine in Taiwan. He was supposed to avoid public places and must wear a face mask when he was out and about for seven more days. Additionally, Wang was not permitted to attend any gatherings and large-scale events during this period.
So naturally, Wang went to a gathering. On the day he ended his 14-day quarantine, he showed up at Vivian Hsu’s home for a meal gathering.
Aside from Wang, Blackie Chen, Christine Fang and Eric Chen also attended the gathering. They took a group photo and posted it on Hsu’s social media page.
That drew a lot of unwanted attention since Wang did just come out of quarantine. Wang was aware that he broke quarantine rules but still risked the trip. He ended up facing a fine ranging from NT$10,000 (~S$485) to NT$300,000 (~S$14,739) for that.
Currently, the post has been taken down.
Netizens decided to link the two and two together because Lee mentioned that Wang went “running” to this mistress’ house despite him knowing that he was breaking COVID-19 rules.
