Halloween is coming and like every previous year, Singaporeans are looking at what Universal Studios Singapore (USS) will be doing for Halloween Nights.

At least for those who love paying others to scare them. Crazy people.

They are holding the 7th instalment of their horror-themed event, and this time, they’re going all out.

Halloween Horror Nights 7: The Seven Deadly Sins

Based on the number 7, the theme of Halloween Horror Nights 7 is on the seven deadly sins: Cruelty, Deception, Malice, Manipulation, Narcissism, Perversion and Obsession.

This year’s Halloween Nights includes FIVE haunted houses

Heard of killer discounts? USS now brings the saying to life by making a haunted shopping mall, Death Mall, for you to explore.

And for those with dreams of becoming a star, you can now at ‘Gore-Pop Idol’, provided your face makes the cut.

Another Asian themed haunted house is TERRORcotta Empress where you must escape from the cruel Empress and her TERRORcotta army.

And with this being USS, you must have some ang moh haunted house too, right?

The remaining two haunted houses are Inside The Mind which lets you experience the mind-numbing terror of demons and evil; and HEX which puts you inside a forest together with the deadly Midnight Doctor.

Besides the horror house, there are two scare zones as well where guests can explore and be afraid at their own pace.

The Pilgrimage of Sin & Horror-Days

The Halloween Horror Nights experience is a complete one. Whether in or out of the attractions, expect to be scared out of your minds.

The Pilgrimage of Sins is one scare zone where demons and the seven sins reside. Don’t be surprised (okay, just be surprised, I know I’d scream if it was me) if you’re “ambushed” by any of the characters halfway through your walk.

You know you’re on to something scary when they combine an awesome thing (holidays) with horror.

Now I won’t be able to see holidays the same way liao. Thanks,  USS. Is nothing sacred anymore?

But nothing beats the highlight of the event: The Laser Tag Zombie-Style

L4D fans, this is for you.

Join the mission in teams of four where you’ll be equipped with Laser guns and a headband and thrown into the middle of chaos.

Shoot the flesh-eating zombies and find clues in your quest.

The headband will sense the level of concentration and reveal clues at when the conditions are right.

Now excuse me while I go play my Counterstrike. I’ve sworn off horror stuff since 2005.
