The Way You Walk Could Determine your Character

Have you ever walked behind a group of friends or strangers and noticed how differently each of them walk? Did you know that how you walk determines your character?

It’s amazing how something we have little control of determines our character. Find out if these are true about you!

If you’re always walking like you’re charging ahead, with your forward stride being quick, you’re known as the ‘Driver’. It’s a bonus if you’re multitasking while you walk such as using your phone, making decisions in your head etc. If it sounds like you, you have some positive personality traits. You’re extremely productive, know how to get things done, very logical and likely to be very intelligent. People would admire you but they can tend to find you rather cold. You tend to be also very competitive and your fiery personality can get the best of you.

If you walk like you’re walking down a fashion runway – chest forward, shoulders back and head held high, there’s a high chance you’re an ‘Influencer’. Like the Driver, you walk quickly but with a springy pep in your steps. You tend to engage with people while walking, such as making eye contact and a friendly greeting. If you’re in this label, you’re fun, charismatic, a social butterfly but there are some people who may think you’re a little too much. Your strong personality would rob the spotlight from others when the focus should be on them.

If your walking speed is in medium paced, movements are anything but jerky and your weight is spread over your legs, not forward or back, you’re most likely to be a ‘Supporter’. You’re more interested in people than tasks, and prefer to enjoy your personal life rather than focusing on your career. You love being part of a group and you thrive in your family life or being part of a team sport. You like to be acknowledged but is too humble to admit it.

If you’re light on your toes when you walk and your eyes are glued to the floor, you’re likely to be a ‘Corrector’. You pace is slow and cautious – as though you are afraid to make a wrong step. Your arms are kept close by your side so that there is no intruding in others’ personal space. You’re likely to be an introvert and you like to treat others the way you would like to be treated. However, due to your introverted nature, you are not able to verbally communicate what you want or need. You would expect people to know. This could lead to annoyance towards others as you feel that they don’t “understand” you.
