Everybody wants to look good. Everybody.
From that guy who’ve given up on ever looking attractive to the super-hot girl who’s being complimented on her looks all the time.
And when it comes to looking good, hair is one important component that cannot be neglected. I mean, you can look like Nicholas Tse but if your hair is all lackluster and suffering from balding? You’re going to look bad anyway.
So you use wax, hair gel and all sorts of products to make yourself look spiffy good. But have you ever wondered if these products are doing your hair and scalp any harm?
That’s what we wanted to find out and sent our resident chiobu for a hair check.
She decided to go for a hair consultation and treatment at TK Trichokare, an all-natural European herbal hair treatment brand in Singapore.
Here’s how it turned out.
First Thing First, The State of Her Scalp
Before she could go for any treatment, a professional consultant would go through her history with her.
Be prepared for questions like:
- Medical History
- Diet
- Allergies
- Hair condition (bleaching or colouring of hair)
- Type of shampoos and conditioners used at home
Based on your answers, the certified consultant will advise you on how to resolve and improve your hair condition.
Don’t even know if you have dry or oily scalp? That’s okay because they’ll do an in-depth check for you.
Now, you got to admit that her hair’s in pristine condition. Smooth, silky and worthy of attention.
Except, when you get up close and personal with a scalp scan. By the way, they’re using Tricho-Scan Scalp Analysis which can magnify your scalp up to two hundred times.
And here’s what we saw. Sorry, Xing Xing.
We’re talking clogged hair follicles with flaky dead skin. And red patches were where she scratched at her scalp due to itchiness.
Moral of the story: Just because your hair looks fine doesn’t mean it is. Look underneath the underneath as Kakashi would say.
The TriOXY Treatment For Scalp
The TriOXY treatment consists of three steps:
- OxyPEEL
- OxyJet
- OxyNutrient
The treatment will exfoliate the surface of your scalp and removes dirt that is clogging up your hair follicles.
If your hair follicle is clogged up, no hair’s going to grow from that particular follicle. Which means…balding.
First, they’ll use Glycolic (AHA) and Salicylic Acid (BHA) to clean the scalp which is great for reducing dandruff and flakes.
OxySpray is used to speed up the peeling process.
Once the process is done, they’ll bring you to our favourite part of the treatment.
Not only do they wash off the dead skin and dirt, but they’ll also massage your scalp at the same time. Shiok.
Then, they’ll use an ampoule that promotes hair growth and OxyJET to make sure the ampoule is properly absorbed into your hair follicle.
Before you’re done, they even make you feel like Professor X from X-men by putting you into a Cerberus-lookalike machine.
The purpose of this Infra-Red Treatment is to help revitalise your scalp and promote hair growth.
And here’s the end result:
Lesser flaky skin, healthier scalp. Of course lah, if you want better results, you’d have to go back there.
Our resident chiobu reported that she has never felt her hair and scalp so clean before. According to her, even the wind blowing through her hair never felt so shiok before.
Kind of like when you dig your ears after a few years and the wind entered unblocked portions of your ear canal for the first time.
So what are you waiting for? If you’re looking for something that can help you get rid of the niggling itch in your scalp from time to time, you might want to check Trichokare out.
Not only will they clean up your mess (literally), they’ll advise you on what went wrong with your haircare routine too.
It’s like seeing a “hair doctor”, actually. Just take note that they’re not hairy doctors. Get it?
