Have you ever looked at a maggot and gone “Hey that looks pretty delish.” Or have you ever heard someone say that they were “craving for maggots for lunch”?
Chances are if you surround yourself with SANE people, who are by NOT by any chance displaying psychopathic traits. No one in the right mind would have said any of the above sentences.
But can you imagine, while eating your food, you realised that at the corner of your eye you see a little baby maggot crawling out of your food?

And that was exactly what happened to a 30-year-old lady in Malaysia.
Maggots in Chicken Bones
The lady was dining at Sabak Bernam Mamak restaurant with her husband and friends when the tragedy happened.
She only realised that there were maggots coming out of her the chicken bone when she was halfway done with the chicken. Â
One can only wonder why the bone is blue…or why the lady broke the bones #justsaying
Horrified, she went to confront the restaurant manager, like what any customer would have done in this situation. The manager gave her an excellent response- that as if he was asking for a slap from the lady.
Any normal manager, who would still want their job after their customer finds maggots inside their food, would have apologised profusely and if they are nice, they would have refunded the customer, offer to replace the food, and if they are feeling it, add in a voucher or two.
Except, He Didn’t
However, this manager not only failed to apologise to the poor lady but even BLAMED her for choosing the piece of chicken with the maggots.

“HELLO I SHOULD BE THE ONE BLAMING YOU FOR EVEN PUTTING A CHICKEN WITH MAGGOTS ON DISPLAY FOR CUSTOMERS TO PICK”
“I AM GOING TO COMPLAIN!!1!!!!”

These are just thoughts that might have ran through her head, except, she actually did file a complaint to the Health Department of Sabak Bernam.
So Did She Eat The Maggots?
Now, many might ask, if she only discovered the maggots while eating halfway… does that mean that she might have actually eaten maggots?

Well, we will leave that up to your imagination – but, she did have diarrhoea that night and was diagnosed with food poisoning after.
However gross this was, this is not the first time something like this had happened.
There was an incident when customers only realised that there were maggots inside their food AFTER they were done with their chicken. Yikes.
