A physical altercation between two female employees broke out near People’s Park Complex in Chinatown on 27 Apr 2025, resulting in both women being sent to the hospital.
Fight Between Store Manager and Bun Seller
The incident occurred around 1:45pm outside two restaurants near a McDonald’s fast food restaurant at 1 Park Road.
The fight involved a 52-year-old restaurant manager and a 43-year-old female clerk who sold buns.

A passerby who witnessed the scene told Shin Min Daily News that six to seven police officers were present at the location. He spotted one woman squatting in a corner, covering her face and crying.
Photos provided to Shin Min Daily News showed both women being questioned by police officers while medical staff treated their injuries separately on-site.
The woman with a bun hairstyle was placed in a wheelchair before being transferred to a stretcher and loaded into an ambulance.
The other woman appeared to have blood on her face, while the woman with the bun kept holding her chest, seemingly in pain.
Same Company Employees from Different Stores Involved in Physical Confrontation
According to vendors at the scene, one woman was believed to be Malaysian while the other was Chinese.
A female worker revealed that though the two women worked in different stores, they belonged to the same company.
The taller woman involved in the fight is reportedly the manager of a restaurant selling Chinese food, which operates two shops and one stall.
Another witness mentioned that during the confrontation, both women fell and might have sustained injuries, though they didn’t appear to be serious.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) confirmed they received a call for help at 1 Park Road and transported two individuals to Singapore General Hospital.
The police stated that both women, aged 43 and 52, were taken to the hospital in a conscious state. The 43-year-old woman is now helping with investigations for voluntarily causing hurt.
The reason for the argument remains unknown. Police investigations are ongoing.
