Missed the good old days when you can breathe in the nice, smokey fragrance of cooked food at a pasar malam?
Missed the sound of sizzling, buying piping hot (sometimes, not so hot) Ramly burgers and eating atas churros?
Well, for those who are unhappy with the small scale pasar malams tentatively making their return, I’ve got great news for you.
Iconic Large Pasar Malam Returns With Seats For Eating
On 27 May 2022, the folks at Facebook Page Singapore Atrium Sales uploaded an exciting post:
Yes, you saw that right, it’s a large-scale pasar malam filled with all the food and sounds that we’ve missed dearly over the past two years.
The pasar malam, located just outside Woodlands MRT station, will be operating for one month from now until 27 June 2022.
In other words, there’s plenty of time to explore the pasar malam no matter where you stay.
The Most Amount of Food Stalls
According to the post, this pasar malam is one with the most food stalls so far this year.
Some of the food stalls available include:
Takoyaki and Okonomiyaki
The Famous Vadai Uncle
Traditional Desserts
Ramly Burger
And even hipster food choices that young people would really like:
Basically, if you’re there for a meal, you’ll never leave hungry.
Oh, did we mention that there’s a seating area for those who want to eat in the pasar malam ambience?
Go But Be Responsible
The worst of the COVID-19 pandemic might have passed but that doesn’t mean we should stop taking precautions.
When you’re at the pasar malam, make sure to still take the necessary precautions when squeezing with the crowd or queuing up for food.
Meanwhile, for those who don’t want to travel to the north, here is a list of other pasar malams that are happening in Singapore right now.
Details:
Where: Outside Woodlands MRT
