Superheroes don’t always wear underwear on the outside of their pants.

Some look like you and me; regular humans with normal lives.

But when an emergency arises, these superheroes are always prepared to save the day, even if they’re busy in the toilet.

Yishun Man Helps SCDF Put Out Fire By Spraying Water from Window Down to the Carpark

When 29-year-old Mai heard three explosions while he was in the toilet, he knew something was wrong.

So he rushed out to look outside his window and saw smoke billowing from the carpark below his house.

What Mai was actually looking at was a burning taxi.

The fire broke out at the carpark of Blk 257 along Yishun Ring Road at around 10.35am. A video of the incident was uploaded to the Facebook page All Singapore Stuff.

In the video, one resident shouts “Fire, fire!” as onlookers stare at the blazing vehicle.

One person is seen pulling a hose towards the taxi, after which the police arrive.

A police officer then uses a fire extinguisher on the flames, and another loud explosion is heard.

Subsequently, firefighters arrive and attempt to put out the fire with their hose.

The video then cuts to a resident spraying water out of his window over the burning car.

Mai said he wasn’t thinking too much at the time until SCDF personnel came to thank him for helping.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

What To Do If Your Car Catches Fire

It’s unclear how the fire started, but according to Budget Direct, the two most common causes of car fires are fuel leaks and electrical system failures.

If you smell or see smoke or think your car may catch fire, you need to get out of your car immediately, because there are so many flammable components in a car and it could cause an explosion within seconds of you discovering smoke.

Once you’re out, call 995 and make sure bystanders keep away from your burning car.

Hopefully, a man from a house nearby will rush out of his toilet to put out the flames from his window.
