Wedding bells are ringing away, but yet we see a young man who is pulling a long face. Isn’t a wedding supposed to be a joyous occasion? Not when you’re marrying out of circumstances.
No Money No Talk
There has been a video circulating on Facebook recently. It shows a man marrying an elderly woman, with a long face. Yeap, we can safely tell how unhappy he is with his expression.
According to the World of Buzz, the couple is Chinese and the age gap between the groom and his bride stretch as far as 20 to 40 years. That’s really wide. It might explain the expression on his face, which resulted in many netizens reasoning that the groom probably married the woman out of financial constraints and not love.
Throughout the video, his expression was practically screaming that he has resigned to his fate. It’s really hilarious, given the situation and his expression (because who gives that face during his or her wedding day, eh?).
Here’s the turning point – only after getting presented a pile of cash, did he agree to drink the ‘cross-cupped wine’, a tradition for Chinese newlyweds.
Netizens found it so hilarious it got circulated and ended up garnering lots of popularity. Poor man, though. We hope that he’ll find love sometime soon in the future. Meanwhile, I guess we’ll just enjoy his expression on the video.
