Singapore is a diverse country, a melting pot of cultures and values that made this little red dot so vibrant, so interesting and so exciting.
We celebrate Hari Raya even though we’re Buddhists, and our Malay and Indian friends come to our house for Chinese New Year visiting.
Even though the name of the festival itself is racist. Sort of.
But just as we have good people on the island, we have some bad eggs as well.
And this time, we’re going to talk about one of the bad ones that’s hopefully as rare as Mew in Pokemon.
The Boy Who Thinks Throwing Bicycles Off Bridges Makes One Cool AF
The younger generation has a fascination with Thug Life and breaking rules in general.
When applied in the right way, you’d have successful entrepreneurs who broke the mould and disrupt traditional industries.
But when it’s applied the wrong way, you’ll get this.
Yes, you didn’t see that wrong. A boy is throwing an ofo off the Lorong Halus Bridge.
With a cigarette in his hand, to boot.
And the video went viral immediately and the netizens got crazy tagging relevant pages
Even the big boss, who showed that he had the power to get things done.
And some irrelevant ones.
Dude Actually Threw An oBike From The Same Location Before
This video circulated on the internet on Monday as well, showing the same person throwing an oBike from the exact same location.
And if you watch the video below carefully, he looks damn proud about doing it too.
Bloody clowns now you know why Singapore government is afraid to help us because of clowns like you’ll pic.twitter.com/TXmobSjblT

Logan Paul, I blame you for this.
The Police Has Responded
One thing I really like about the internet age, though, is the fact that the relevant authorities are paying attention to what people are saying.
In a way, you can say that the internet gives people more voice. Not that it’ll always work, I mean, just look at Ben Davis’ NS deferment case.
But this time, the men in blue acknowledged the incident and said they’re looking into it. Sort of.
Cool Dude Apologises, But His Apology Might Get Him Into More Trouble
So, with all the hoo-ha about the incident, including a police report, cool dude just has to come out and do the right thing.
Apologise.
And this brought another matter into consideration: his age.
The 16-year-old student said that the ofo bike was damaged and he was dared to throw it off the bridge. At that time, it was a day before his O-Levels listening comprehension test and he was stressed out.
“I know it isn’t the right thing to do and I regret my decision. I’m really sorry.”
But here’s the thing, he might get into more trouble with his apology because of this.
Yup, underaged smoking.
The age limit for smoking has been raised to 21 years old, by the way.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This isn’t the first time someone threw rental bicycles from high up
And the previous person who threw an ofo bike was The MVP. In a bad way. He threw an ofo bike down 30 storeys of an HDB block.
There’s so many interesting information on the case I can’t really list it down, so here’s the TL; DR instead.
On 15 June 2017, residents at Blk 116B, along Jalan Tenteram in Whampoa heard a sudden crash at around midnight.
It was reported that the bike was thrown from 30 storeys above the ground.
Luckily, the bicycle didn’t hit anyone and a 14-year-old teenager was arrested in relation to the case.
