COVID-19 has caused many businesses to shut down.

However, this time, this stall closure was not because of the virus.

Sexy Beer Stall Owner Shutting Her Chinatown Hawker Stall & Focusing on Being an Influencer

Yumi, a Vietnamese beer stall owner at Hong Lim Market & Food Centre, has announced on her Facebook page that she decided to shut down her business for good this week.

Known for her risque outfits, friendly behaviour and popular videos on Facebook, Yumi has been running this beer stall since Aug 2020.

Previously, some of her male customers leaked videos of her accidentally showing her breasts when she raised her arms but that did not stop her from persevering with her business in her outfits.

One would have thought that if she was able to brave through such an ordeal, she can brave through anything, right? Well, not exactly.

Exhaustion

This time, this closure is not due to COVID-19 or some scandal, but it is simply due to exhaustion. As Yumi was running the business by herself, she felt tired from the business.

Additionally, she had various bad experiences with other customers that led her to this decision as well.

A significant experience that gave Yumi nightmares was when a man caused a scene with someone in front of her stall. Yumi, who was not involved with their conversation, was suddenly dragged into the situation.

That incident scarred her so much that she “didn’t dare to go to the toilet by herself”, fearing that he would ambush her.

That eventually led to her giving up the stall.

Yumi Cashew Nuts & Yumi Diary

Despite the store closure, Yumi will still be available online. According to her reply to some of the comments in the video, she does not have any plans to open another stall.

Instead, she will be selling her cashew nuts and vlogging more on her Facebook page, Yumi Diary.

She initially wanted to break the news to her fans before her last day at Hong Lim Market & Food Centre but to prevent fans from flocking to her stall in tears, she didn’t.
