Flight D7 523, which departed from Tokyo, was scheduled to arrive in Kuala Lumpur at 0200 hours on the 27th. However there was an issue with the engine, which caused the plane to have to make an emergency landing.

According to the Japan’s transport ministry, it was said that the plane’s right engine showed problems, which compelled the captain to shut down the troubled engine and declare for an emergency landing.

Thankfully the aircraft landed safely in Okinawa. Out of 369 passengers and 10 crew members, none were injured in the emergency landing by the Malaysian budget carrier.

Rescue flight D7 689 is said to have been sent out from Kuala Lumpur to transport the passengers of flight D7 523 and arrive back in Kuala Lumpur at 0200 hours on 27th February.
