For die-hard Jay Chou fans, you’ll know why the headline is that the tickets will be sold on 7 July 2017 instead of from 7 July 2017.

In fact, here’s something even more accurate: it will be sold on 10:00 a.m. that day.

Here’s why: last year, the Mandopop star’s Singapore tickets were sold out within two hours, with the most expensive ones at $338 each being sold out within thirty minutes.

But of course that didn’t lead to a happy ending: the poor sound system led to people demanding for refunds as his voice was drowned out by the unusually loud bass.

In addition, someone apparently sold fake tickets, forging the tickets and selling them online. He was then arrested and charged…only after the concert was over. Yeah, that meant there were people who paid crazily high prices for fake tickets, only to be turned away during the concert.

Lesson to be learned: only buy from the official sources.

The next concert, to be held on 6 January 2018, is the first leg of the Part 2 of The Invincible Jay Chou Concert World Tour.

The tickets will be on sale via Sports Hub Tix, with priority booking for StarHub and OCBC card members from 7 July 2017 to 9 July 2017 (but come on lah, don’t need two days one).

During last year’s concert, Singapore latest singing sensation Nathan Hartono was wildly rumoured to be the guest, but he couldn’t make it as he was still preparing to compete in Sing! China.

Now that he’s packed with Milo instead, we’re all hoping that he’ll make a guest appearance. And given his PDA with Milo, we won’t be surprised that there’s a Milo van nearby #justsaying

Last year, Jay Chou was in Singapore before his concert to witness the official launch of his shop, PHANTACi, which is a streetwear brand founded by him almost eleven years ago.

And just so you know, last year, after the first 30,000 tickets were sold out, an additional 1,500 tickets were added soon after.

So you Jay Chou fans, you know what to do. And if you’re a fan of both Jay Chou and Nathan Hartono, you know what you need to do.

Just remember: don’t buy your tickets from dubious sources.
