Would you ever curse a person just because he/she’s doing his job and things do not go your way?

Well, a woman did, and the whole act was captured and uploaded onto popular site Stomp.

If you’re not already aware, the Road Traffic Act dictates that it’s illegal for private hire cars to transport passengers under 1.35m, unless there’s a booster seat or child restraint equipped.

Offenders are liable to face a composition fine of $120 and three demerit points.

Should they be charged in court, a fine of up to $1,000 or a jail term of up to three months could be applicable.

Driver Tan advised parents to book the option of GrabFamily if they have children below 1.35m. The incoming cars would be ones equipped with the necessary booster seats.

He also lamented that parents shouldn’t sacrifice their children’s safety simply for the reduction of a few bucks. They should also think about the drivers, whom are just eking out a living and do not wish to face the law while doing their job.

I have to agree with the driver on this point. By trying to save that few bucks you’re not only compromising your child’s safety, but also the driver’s license. You could argue that one ride’s not going to ruin anything, but what if that one ride was an unlucky one?

While it’s understandable that the rider would be angry over the cancellation of the ride, it’s her own fault for not complying to the law in the first place.

Even if she had not known about the rule at the start she shouldn’t have reacted that way. Do you really need to curse a person that badly just because you’re not happy?

But that’s just my take. What’s yours?
