Geylang Lor 29 Fried Hokkien Mee
Located along East Coast, this store is one of the few who cooks Hokkien Mee in the traditional way–using charcoal. This adds a nice wok hei fragrance to the noodles, which is probably why customers are travelling from afar to have a taste of it.

Swee Guan Hokkien Mee
This is actually run by the same family from the Geylang Lorong 29 Hokkien Mee stall, and their hokkien mee is cooked in the same way. If East Coast is too far for you, this could be your next alternative!

Nam Sing Hokkien Fried mee
Using thin beehon, Nam Sing’s hokkien mee is drier than the usual ones you see out there. We recommend going there earlier because their food is sold out pretty quickly, and it tastes better during off-peak hours.

perating hours: 7am till Sold Out (No fixed rest day)
Hainan Hokkien Mee
This awesome Hokkien Mee might require some waiting time, but believe us when we say it’s totally worth every minute of your time. Simmered till perfection, this Hokkien Mee is extremely flavourful and it’s definitely hands down one of the best dry ones in Singapore.

Xie Kee Hokkien Mee
Instead of the usual yellow noodles and beehoon, this store uses flat noodles that brings out the same awesome taste, if not even better. The stock is extremely rich, and the noodles: amazing. Priced at $2,50 or $3, I would say it’s worth the trip down!

Yang Zhou Fried Hokkien Mee
Health conscious people, listen up! You can now eat your favourite Hokkien Mee with lesser calories intake. The chef uses significantly lesser salt while cooking, and makes up for it with the huge amount of lard. Well, you can always ask for lesser of course. And let’s face it, saturated fats beats trans fats!

Sheng Seng Fried Prawn Noodle
With prices of food increasing these days, hawker food are getting more and more pricey as well. However, for just $2.50, you’re given a huge serving of food with seafood. And it’s pretty darn good as well, which the long queue can attest to.

Operating hours: 11.30am to 5pm (Closed Mon)
Xiao Di Fried Prawn Noodle
The reason behind the name of the store is because the owner is in his mid-twenties, but that doesn’t mean his Hokkien Mee is not up to scratch. With generous portions of eggs fried together with the noodles, this plate of goodness is more than worthy to contest against other Hokkien Mee masters.
Address: Block 153 Serangoon North Avenue 1, Singapore 551153
Operating Hours: 11am – 8pm daily, closed on Monday
Chomp Chomp
Known for its famous oyster omelette, the Hokkien Mee is also one of which many customers order. I especially love the sambal that pairs perfectly with the noodles, which are slightly on the wet side. Not to mention the generous portion of noodles that never fails to leave me walking out feeling incredibly satisfied.
