There is no mercy when it comes to food. Especially when it’s half past twelve midnight and your stomach is growling so loudly you can barely sleep, and Maggie mee just isn’t an option.
That’s when you realise where your priority lies. Sleep is for the weak! When transportation has become a tap of your phone, these 24 hours kopitiams have become a favourite among many. Here’s our list (do note that it’s, of course, subjective. And we do not include prata places, because that’s for another day).
1. Wan Shun Foodcourt (888 Plaza)
Those living in the North, this might be a good supper place for you. Craving for some noodles? Their Bak Chor Mee might be able to satisfy your taste buds! With so many stalls around, you won’t get bored of the food there.
888 Woodlands Drive 50 #01-733 888 Plaza, Singapore 730888
2. 333 Pork Rib Soup
Pork Ribs Soup, also affectionately known as Bak Kut Teh, is especially perfect on a cold rainy night. Want something peppery and warm to keep your tummy happy? This is the best option to go!
Shophouse 315-333, 333 Balestier Road #01-333, 329765
3. AB and ABC Restaurant
Located at the junction of Joo Chiat Road and Duku Road, this coffee shop is pretty close to the Joo Chiat Community Centre. Their banana honey Prata is recommended, with sweet nectar and semi-caramelized bananas going together with crisp Prata. You’ll either love it or hate it!
365 Joo Chiat Rd, Singapore 427610
4. Suriya Curry House
An approximately 10 – 15 minute’s walk away from Serangoon MRT Station, their Roti John is a must-try dish. Packed with a good serving of eggs, onions and mutton (or chicken), their servings are pretty generous. Even their bread is soft and light, giving it a unique taste of its own.
536A Upper Serangoon Road, Singapore 534552
5. Meng’s Kitchen
Here’s another noodle stall for you. Their wide variety of noodles is well received by customers, especially their Bak Chor Mee (again!) Diners love the noodles for its soft and springy texture, as well as the sauce which contains the ideal mix of chilli and vinegar. Try it once and you’ll know it!
246B Upper Thomson Road, Singapore 574370
6. Mr Teh Tarik
Given that Mr Teh Tarik has several stalls scattered across Singapore, it adds on to the convenience of finding a 24/7 coffee shop. What’s recommended there is promptly their noodle dishes such as Wanton Mee, and Ban Mian. As their coffee shop name suggests, you just have to try their Teh Tarik!
This one in the west is a favourite among one of our writers, simply because it’s near his house, but hey: every one has their favourite, eh?
456 Jurong West Street 41, #01-1750, Singapore 640456
7. Fei Fei Wanton Noodle
Ah, Wonton Noodles. You’ll be able to spot a bunch of them at Joo Chiat. However, this is the only stall that opens 24 hours that might just be the solution to your hunger pangs.
You can’t go wrong with their wonton noodles. And you can’t just have one plate with their wonton noodles.
73 Joo Chiat Pl, Singapore 427790
8. NTUC Foodfare- Yew Tee (Coffee Shop)
Looking for a casual coffee shop to chill? This might be the one for you. It serves all Indian, Malay, Chinese and Western cuisine. It even has Foodfare’s Legendary Breakfast consisting of 2 eggs, 2 slices of Kaya and Butter Toast and a cup of aromatic coffee at the best price in Singapore. Who says you can’t have breakfast at 2 am in the morning?

9. Al-Azhar Eating Restaurant
Near to Beauty World MRT station, you can find Al-Azhar Eating Restaurant – an Indian restaurant opening for 24 hours daily. Known for its supper crowd at night, their Butter Chicken Masala ($7) and get the Garlic Naan ($5 for 3 pcs) are strongly recommended.
11 Cheong Chin Nam Road, Singapore 599736
10. Mr Prata
Mr Prata, as the name suggests, offers one of the best Pratas in town. If you’re fond of chewy and doughy Pratas, this one is for you! Besides Prata, their thosai and biryani are also of decent quality. Definitely worth the try!
