With the many dams and reservoirs in Singapore, you can head to any of your preference to explore and chill. There are 17 reservoirs in Singapore so there’s at least one in your area of residence no matter if you stay in the north, east, west or central.
Parks
There are dozens of parks in Singapore to explore and chill, ranging from nature parks to community parks, coastal parks and the heritage parks. There are so many parks that people have forgotten and you can even plan on visiting one each week!
Esplanade Rooftop
Enjoy a chill night out in the hustle and bustle of the city at the esplanade rooftop. Who said that free places can’t be found in the city? And if you’re lucky, you can catch some free performances in the early night outside Esplanade. Stroll along the Singapore River and immerse yourself with the scenic cityscape and night lights.
Toa Payoh Heritage Trail
Toa Payoh is Singapore’s first HDB, and this place is one of the first for many other beginnings. A heritage trail was created there to preserve the historical milestones as a vibrant town centre. The dragon playground became the iconic landmark of the heritage trail, which many visits to reminisce their childhood days.
Definitely one of the most chill places in Singapore to hang out at.
Marina Barrage
Picnic or kite-flying, take your pick. While people usually visit during the day, you can opt to explore the place at night. Since it is free and open all day, feel free to do so.
Beaches or Neighbouring Islands
There’re beaches on our main island such as the beaches along Pasir Ris Park, West Coast Park, Sembawang Park; beaches on offshore islands such as Tanjong beach, Palawan and Siloso Beach. Or if you happen to take day trips to other islands such as Pulau Ubin, or Kusu island, well there are beaches there too.
Changi Boardwalk
Get to Changi Boardwalk to explore and if you manage to chill throughout the night, well bonus for you! The sunrise there is breathtaking and you can even head to Changi Village for breakfast after catching the sunrise.
Quayside Isle at Sentosa Cove
Travelling to Sentosa Cove might not be exactly convenient, but you can get to explore the luxurious apartments that some of our local celebrities are staying in, and head to Quayside Isle after that. You’ll get to see many fancy yachts which are parked there and discuss your dreams to go sailing one day.
Henderson Waves
This bridge mimics the shape of the curvy and twisting wave, which allows people to sit and observe their surroundings. Admire the bridge that is illuminated to LED stunning effects from 7pm to 2am every night.
Old Changi Hospital
For the adventurous and thrill-seekers, definitely. You may want to just chill at the abandoned building, but be warned because it is possible that you’re not just chilling with your friends.
