TREC Kuala Lumpur
The newly built TREC KL currently houses a vast variety of eateries, bars, pubs, clubs and lounges all in one large entertainment centre. It is touted as Kuala Lumpur’s largest entertainment centre, with over 28,000 square metres of space, this hopping Kuala Lumpur nightlife favourite is located at Jalan Tun Razak.
Zouk, Kuala Lumpur
Known as one of Asia’s superclubs, Zouk KL is located in TREC, in fact, it was one of the first establishments to open its doors at TREC. Zouk KL has undergone a facelift and revamp, sporting 11 rooms now so you won’t ever feel bored here. Zouk is licensed to open until 5am, so you can party until you drop.
Heli LoungeÂ
A fully operational helipad by day, it transforms into one of KL’s trendy watering holes and a place to drink in the view of the city by night. Located on Jalan Ismail, go up to the 34th floor of Menara KH for this cool lounge. Beware though, the helipad does not have any barricades so keep a safe distance from the sides.
Sky Bar, Traders Hotel
Can’t get enough of KL city’s picturesque view? Head on over to Sky Bar at Traders Hotel where the jaw-dropping view of the Twin Towers will take your breath away. The bar is frequented by locals and tourists alike as they sip drinks and chill to its relaxing atmosphere.
Petaling Street, Chinatown
If you are feeling peckish after a night of drinking, go over to Petaling Street, Chinatown for some local fare. The night market will be closed by then but right by one of its entrances near the 5th Element Hotel, you will be able to find two restaurants serving Chinese food such as Claypot Lou Shu Fan, fried pork, and Yong Tau Foo to fill those rumbling tummies.
Marini’s on 57
On Fridays and Saturdays, Marini’s stays open until 3am, letting you soak in its sexy cool ambience. Serving signature cocktails and many other drinks, you can have a meal if you come earlier. You can also enjoy the view of the Twin Towers from here.
Changkat Bukit Bintang
For those who love to bar-hop, Changkat Bukit Bintang fits the bill. Along this narrow road, there are bars, lounges, pubs and restaurants galore. An eclectic mix of tunes emerging from each watering hole can be heard when you pass by so just stop at any one which strikes your fancy and head over to the next bar once you are done.
Jalan Alor
Located just a stone’s throw away from Changkat Bukit Bintang, many come over here to nurse their hungry bellies after a night of partying at Changkat. While the late hours means that a number of restaurants will be closed, you can still find quite a few that are still open for business.
Zion Club, Changkat
Zion is the new kid on the block at Changkat Bukit Bintang. This club stays open until 5am over the weekend so you don’t have to worry about stopping the party before you get your groove on.
C.A.F.F.E.I.N.E.E.S
This cafe is located at the heart of KL city centre, just a mere 5 minutes drive from Berjaya Times Square. Opened until 4am on weekends and until 3am on weekdays, this is the perfect place for you to hang out and catch up with your buddies over an elegant cup of coffee and a meal or over a pint of beer and some shisha.
