We are officially left with half a month to 2018!
Let me just take a minute to think through if there’s any significant things that I’ve done this year.
Nope.
Alright, let’s move on.
What’s more important is to think ahead yea?
(tells myself that every year)
So…when we talk about welcoming a new year, what do you think about?
Fireworks? Bingo.
Personally, I’m not a party-goer, I always prefer to stay at home in my PJs and watch the live broadcast.
However, if you’re the kind who gets very hyped and would love to see the fireworks on New Year’s Day, you’re in luck.
I’ve managed to compile a list of top 10 spots for you to chope a good view.
Wait, did I mention you can go to all these places for free?
Oops, my bad.
#1 Bay East Garden @ Gardens By The Bay
Quite self-explanatory eh? I mean, just look at the unobstructed view!
#2 Helix Bridge and Benjamin Sheares Bridge
This is one of the closest you can get to the fireworks.
But it’s also one of the closest you’ll be with thousands of strangers.
Simple give and take.
#3 Merlion Park
Everybody knows this not-so-secret place, so I would suggest for you to go there super early.
#4 Marina Barrage
People always say some things look more beautiful when admired from afar.
There you have it.
#5 The Lawn @ Marina Bay
Do not confuse this with The Float!
The Lawn is a grass patch quietly situated between The Sail and Marina Bay Financial Centre.
#6 Esplanade Bridge
As I said, Merlion Park tends to get very, very crowded. The Esplanade Bridge is a good alternative, providing the same view.
#7 Jubilee Bridge
Ditto.
#8 Level 3 of Marina South Pier Carpark
You can get a clear view of the CBD from this carpark and also take some aesthetic shots.
#9 Kallang Riverside Park
Further away from the CBD is this hidden riverside where there’s minimal obstruction but equal viewing pleasure.
#10 Singapore Sports Hub
Who said SSH is all about watching people play, sing and dance?
You can also catch the most epic fireworks here!
Now that you’re armed with some best places to go, you’re all set for 2018.
Since you’re here, why not watch a video about an NTU student who went all out to impress his crush, only to end up in…tragedy? Here, watch it and do remember to share it (and also subscribe to Goody Feed YouTube channel)!
