The thing is, though, durian prices here are a killer. You wanna eat Mao Shan Wang means you have to fast for the past month to save money so that you can take your girlfriend, her family and her siblings’ in-laws out to makan. 1. Ah Shui Durian Taman Sutera Utama 

A great place with a variety of durians to be tasted – Mao Shan Wang, D24, D13, D101, you name it, they’ve got it.

2. Mr Uncle Durian Mount Austin

Durians never looked better, nor tasted better either. The shop opens from 10.30am, so feel free to head over the moment you’ve crossed over on the Causeway.

3. Machap King

This place might require a bit of a drive, but it’s worth every kilometre. You don’t have to worry though, no need to go all the way to the actual Machap. Get the best of the best durians at Taman Molek instead!

4. D’Unforgettable Durian

This place carries what is known as the best durian in JB- D17. Expect it to be a small fruit compared to others, with white or cream coloured durian meat. Imagine having durian ice cream, just that it’s not cold!

6. Ang & Chuan Food Trading

Here, you’ll be able to sample durians as well as sugary sweet sugar cane juice, mangoes, mangosteens and pomelos too. A true mix and match, but a match made in heaven nonetheless!
