Younger people tend to take fewer precautions when it comes to COVID-19 due to statistics that show elderly patients are more at risk of severe illness and death.
But if the COVID-19 pandemic has shown one thing, it’s that we can’t make any sweeping statements about the disease.
We thought it couldn’t get more infections, and then the Delta variant emerged.
We thought vaccines would put an end to the pandemic, but that doesn’t look like it’s going to happen.
Now, we have evidence that it’s not just the elderly who are at risk with this disease, especially if not fully vaccinated.
