We have all sorely missed the endless array of fried, savoury food and sweet drinks that pasar malams never seem to run out of.
If you were jealous of Punggol residents after the announcement of a pasar malam there, you don’t have to be anymore.

Because now, two more are set to open in none other than the Tampines estate.
Includes Classic One Next to MRT Station
On Tuesday (5 Apr), a Facebook post was uploaded announcing the return of the beloved pasar malams.
They will include the classic big one that is usually set up next to the MRT station. It is set to operate from 28 May to 16 June.
That’s more than enough time for you to head down and stuff your face full of the delicious night market food.
But if you can’t wait till the end of May, you’ll be glad to know that the other pasar malam is opening earlier on 7 May.
It will be held next in the Tampines west area, next to Block 826 Tampines Street 81 and is set to run for two weeks till 22 May.

Bringing Back the Good Ol’ Food
Previously, the famous pasar malam next to the MRT station featured a wide variety of everyone’s favourite food—kebab, Ramly burgers, Takoyaki, fried chicken, thai milk tea and so much more.

The market also had a section for people to sit down while chomping on their food.
But beyond food, the pasar malam promised cheap prices for non-edibles such as socks, plants and even shoes.
And if you wanted entertainment, there was even a section full of claw machines for you to try your luck at winning a soft toy.
We can’t promise that every single store will return, but even a fraction of them returning is more than enough so mark your calendars and head down when the pasar malams open.
