Before you go all worried about the boy, don’t worry: he’s now in stable condition, and he could have saved by the last thing you’d have imagined: his diapers.

Here’s what happened.

Boy Fell from 11th Storey

On 25 November 2018 (Sunday) morning, the two-year-old boy was allegedly standing on a stool near the window. For some reason, he fell from the window.

According to an eyewitness, as the boy fell, his diaper caught on to a clothes rack at the fourth storey, therefore reducing the impact and cushioning his fall.

When the boy landed, he was conscious and crying.

A resident immediately approached a nearby clinic, and a GP rushed out to help. He assisted to keep the boy’s neck stable until the ambulance came five minutes later.

The boy is now warded in KK Hospital and is now in stable condition.

The incident allegedly occurred a Blk 182A of Rivervale Crescent.

Video Footage Went Viral

Windows Grilles

The safest way to prevent this kind of incident is of course windows grilles.

According to the HDB guidelines, installation of internal metal grilles of any design don’t require any permit, though they must be fixed internally (i.e. not out of the window).

If your window has no grilles yet because you want that “minimalism look”, this should wake you up.
