21YO Man Arrested for Sexual Assault of 15YO Girl After Not Showing Up to Court; Had Raped Her While Playing Truth or Dare

Sometimes, we might want to take a second look at the people we hang out with.

Back in 2017, a 15-year-old girl had become intoxicated while playing a game of Truth or Dare with a group of guys.

Two guys in the group took the chance to violate her, with one even going as far as rape.

Despite not being fully conscious, the girl was aware that she was being raped.

One Did Not Show Up to Court

On 27 July 2020, one of the perpetrators, then 19, was sentenced to nine years’ jail and nine strokes of the cane.

However, while the other attacker, 21, was supposed to turn up in court on Monday (22 March), he was nowhere to be found.

He had complained of stomach pain during breakfast and headed off to the toilet, disappearing soon after.

The man’s bail was revoked and an arrest warrant for him came quickly after.

So while all of that sounds frustrating, there actually is some good news regarding this situation recently.

Today (24 March), the Singapore Police Force (SPF) released a statement that the man had been arrested.

The arrest took place the previous day, and the man is now being investigated for additional offences.

But that’s not all the police found, CNA reported.

They also arrested another 21-year-old man, who supposedly was an accomplice of the first man.

SPF also reminded the public that harbouring a criminal is very serious and is punishable by law.

The man who sexually assaulted the victim is due to face a total of seven charges in court, including an attempt to rape the victim, intrusion into the girl’s private parts with his fingers, and forcing her to perform oral sex.

Innocent Game Gone Wrong

But how could such a simple game cause such a tragedy?

The victim got to know of the two offenders alongside two other guys in September 2017, occasionally meeting around Pasir Ris.

On 17 October 2017, they met up at a coffee shop at Block 445, Pasir Ris Drive 6.

She didn’t want to join their game initially, but upon hearing that a guy who was particularly “protective” of her would be present, she reluctantly agreed.

They then began playing Truth or Dare, which included sexual questions and dares.

Apparently, she declined to answer several questions, and hence had to drink the beer.

When the 19-year-old man returned to the group after meeting their friends, she had already drunk four cans of beer.

Sexual Assault

One of the boys then asked the two offenders if they wanted to have sex with the victim. At first, they thought it was a joke.

Despite that, they went to purchase three condoms for $1 at a shop.

At around 4:00am the group got ready to leave, but the victim couldn’t walk as she was heavily intoxicated. They took turns to carry her on their backs.

After she stopped to urinate and then vomit, the two boys thought it was a good idea to molest her.

They then sexually penetrated her using their fingers.

The 21-year-old man proceeded to rape her. After that, the 19-year-old man tried to do the same but he failed to keep an erection. Instead, he rubbed his penis against her private area before making her give him oral sex.

The victim was too weak to do anything while drunk.

The two of the boys then dressed her and called the other boy from the group for help. The victim told the other boy that she had been raped.

Later, she called the police as the 19-year-old man kept denying that he had raped her. Both boys were arrested that same day.
