If you haven’t heard, Singapore is now easing more Covid-19 restrictions, likely because we’ve been seeing falling numbers in terms of the daily cases.

On 23 Sep 2020, Singapore reported 12 new Covid-19 cases.

That’s right: 12, with single digits for all three categories of cases.

Here are the breakdown and the deets on yesterday’s reported cases.

Community Case

On 23 Sep, there are 7 cases from dormitories, 4 imported cases and 1 single case in the community.

The sole case in the community is a work pass holder who was identified as a contact of a previously confirmed case and was placed on quarantine.

He is an asymptomatic case.

4 Imported Cases

Out of the 4 imported cases, 3 came to Singapore from India.

Case 57776, 57782 and 57783 are Singapore permanent residents who returned to Singapore from India on 11 Sep 2020.

The last remaining imported case, Case 57781, is a work pass holder who returned to Singapore from Iran on the same day, 11 Sep 2020.

All four cases were placed on Stay-Home-Notice (SHN) upon arrival in Singapore.

Dormitory Cases

Out of the 7 cases from dormitories, 4 of them are contacts of previously confirmed cases and were already placed on quarantine.

The remaining 3 cases were detected through MOH’s surveillance testing.

It was reported that all 12 cases detected on 23 Sep 2020 are asymptomatic cases.

This brings the total number of Covid-19 cases in Singapore to 57,639.

Overall Covid-19 Situation

29 more cases have been discharged from the hospitals and community care facilities, MOH reported on 23 Sep, which brings the total number of recoveries to 57,291.
