3,383 New COVID-19 Cases Reported on 24 Oct With 15 New Deaths

Last Saturday (23 Oct), Health Minister Ong Ye Kung said that if the weekly infection growth rate drops below 1, some restrictions like not allowing family members to dine in together may be eased.

Well, it seems that we might finally be headed towards that figure; our case count has decreased for two consecutive days, once again failing to cross that 4,000 mark like we had all anticipated.

Unfortunately, many COVID-19 cases are still succumbing to the disease.

15 COVID-19 Fatalities

In what is the second-highest daily reported death toll in recent times, 15 more COVID-19 cases passed away from the disease.

They were eight men and seven women aged between 58 and 100. Eight of them were unvaccinated, one was partially vaccinated, and six were fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

All 15 fatalities had underlying medical conditions.

These 15 deaths bring Singapore’s death toll to 315.
