It’s 5 Nov, Tuesday. A day filled with so much sadness, apprehension and filth, because of the dog shit you inadvertently stepped on this morning.
“Goddammit, are you shitting me?”
Exasperated, you clean the sole of your new shoe with a Kleenex wet wipe, because Kleenex is the best. However, even Kleenex was unable to protect you from a dark fate:

Physical contact with gooey brown stuff.
“Goddammit, is this the shittiest day ever or what?” you scratch your hair like you always do when you’re irritated. Too bad, wrong hand to scratch.
“ARE YOU F*CKING SHITTING ME?!”
And then it happened. A Goody Feed notification on your phone. Intrigued, you browse through it with your shitty hand and tap on the inscribed link with your shitty finger.
“3YO Cries Out For Mom Beside Her Lifeless Body After Fatal Accident,” the article headline reads.
And then you realise.
You might be having a shitty day, but somewhere, someplace, someone’s having it worse than you.
Like a whole lot worse.

3YO Cries Out For Mom Beside Her Lifeless Body After Fatal Accident
I don’t usually do sob stories, because I’m kinda depressed inside and as such would like to entertain the world with my crude humour to cover up my inner insecurities.
Just kidding.
But still, I’ve been given this insurmountable task of penning a sob story on what’s arguably the biggest sob news of the year, so…Â here goes:
According to Sinar Harian, a driver had “lost control of his vehicle and crashed into two motorcyclists who stopped at the red traffic light on Persiaran Murn”.
Both motorcyclists were killed in the collision.

The incident took place in front of Da Men Mall USJ, Subang Jaya on 30 October. The accident, which involves a car, two motorcycles, and a pedestrian, occurred at roughly 10:00 p.m.
The pedestrian, who was identified as a 24-year-old man, was also hit by the vehicle.
A Three-Year-Old Girl’s Desperate Plea
Of the deceased motorcyclists, one of them was a mother to a three-year-old girl, who was also injured in the accident.
And according to a social media post, the girl could be heard calling “mommy mommy” as she kneeled beside the woman’s body.
“Oh my God,” lamented Shamsuddin Ismail, the Facebook user who wrote the post.

“What is the fate of this little girl… in the blink of an eye, she lost her beloved mother due to the negligence of others.
“My heart hurts to hear when the girl called out ‘mommy mommy’ as if she had yet to receive enough love from her beloved mother,” Shamsuddin said.
To date, the post has been shared some 2.3K times.
Netizens have also expressed their condolences.
Translation:
“Poor little child.”

“Oh my god, my heart aches when I hear a baby cry.”
And some demanded for karma to happen.
Translation:
“If he got away this time, may God avenge him. Whoever hit them, just imagine if this happened to your family.”
No matter the message, however, one thing’s clear:

Their thoughts are with the deceased, and their prayers are with the surviving members.
Tragedy
Lest you’re wondering, the other motorcyclist was pronounced dead while receiving treatment at a hospital.
As for the driver of the offending car, it’s believed to have been a 20-year-old college student behind the wheel of the Range Rover.
The case is currently being investigated under Section 41 (1) Road Transport Act 1987.
Now, we can’t even begin to imagine the distress the families of the victims must be feeling. On one hand, we have a man who now finds himself a widower, and a girl who now finds herself without the warmth of a mother. And on the other hand, we have a family mourning the death of their child. A death that should technically never have happened.
And so, we would like to send our sincere condolences to all the victims involved. To all the people mourning for their family members right now. Our thoughts are with you. And to the 3-year-old girl in question…
We hope that you’ll still have a blessed childhood going ahead. All the best for the future, alright kiddo?
