Easter is coming, so you know what that means.
Eggs. And you know what’s a cute egg?
Gudetama, the lazy egg.
And of course, egg puns. I hope you get the yolks.
Easter Eggs-travaganza
Something is hatching in the West.
From now until 30 April 2019, Gudetama figurines will be scattered all over Jurong Bird Park. How egg-citing.
From 8:30 a.m. -6:00 p.m. daily, you can snap a picture with huge Gudetama figurines.
That’s not all: there is also a 5-metre tall Gudetama at the entrance of the park’s Penguin Coast and Waterfall Aviary.
5-metres. That’s egg-stremely huge.
Of course, taking pictures is a given. You don’t see Gudetama figurines and a 5-metre one every day.
And it’s not just for your own collection.
Contest
There’s also an Egg-ceptional photo contest for park goers.
You just have to post a creative photo with any Gudetama figurine located in the park.
The prizes are: 2 adult & 2 child tickets for Bird’s Eye Tour and exclusive Jurong Bird Park x Gudetama premiums (which include a Jurong Bird Park x Gudetama tote bag, Jurong Bird Park x Gudetama pin, Gudetama post-it pad).
If you have always wanted to meet Gudetama in real life, you’re in luck too. On selected dates, you can get up close and personal with your favourite lazy egg. And take plenty of photos with it too, definitely.
Dates and timings are as followed: 13, 14, 19, 20, 21 April; 10:00AM, 11:30AM, 1:00PM. This little meet and greet take place at Penguin Coast.
So if you’re dying to meet Gudetama, you may want to plan your trip ahead of time on those specific dates. This is definitely an egg you don’t want to miss!
Digging for Treasure
For the little ones who have lots of energy and a good eye, you can sign them up for a treasure hunt.
On the 13, 14, 19, 20, 21 April, treasure hunts will be held from 10:00 a.m. -4:00 p.m. at the Waterfall Aviary.
There are five different stations for you to collect the eggs from, and in those eggs are little answer slips. These will be used after all eggs have been collected, and have to be matched to a question sheet at the end of the hunt.
With the hidden eggs found, you could stand a chance to win an exclusive Gudetama collectable. And if you find a golden egg, you can win special Gudetama premiums.
Terms and Conditions apply for the prizes:
Each guest is limited to one redemption per day. Guest must present the redemption card at the point of collection to receive the collectable.
What a fun and egg-citing way to learn.
More Egg-citing Egg-tivities
Besides all the Gudetama themed activities ongoing, the park also offers other activities such as a Learning Egg-venture trail. On this trail, you can learn how baby birds are raised in the Breeding and Research Centre.
If you’re not tired of the Gudetama madness just yet, you can also create Gudetema-themed craftwork at Penguin Coast and bring them home after you’re done.
For more information on the activities offered, you can refer to Jurong Bird Park’s website.
Have an egg-cellent Easter!
