A show of hands, how many of us find it such a chore to keep our cars clean?
As much as we all love the convenience and comfort of owning a car, most of us dread the cleaning part. The cleaning is back breaking you have got to admit, so much so we choose to pay good money to car washers to do the work for us while we complain about spending too much moolah.
But did you know that there are simple and cheap ways of maintaining your car’s cleanliness? Not just that but you also keep it free of those disgusting pests.
Here are 5 ways for you to try out. You can thank us later.
Mothballs
Some people may not like the smell of these tiny balls but they work really well to keep pests away.
Scatter a few inside your car and in the boot to make sure those darn insects and rodents are kept a good distance away.
Hair Conditioner
Instead of wax, or an expensive wax session, you can use your everyday hair conditioner, which contains lanolin and thus works as well.
What conditioner can do our hair, it can also do to our cars, which means super shine. It will also cause rain to be repelled from the surface, leaving a shiny, dry exterior worthy of praise.
Baby Lotion
Got some baby lotion lying around at home? Use a small amount and a piece of cloth to clean out the leather seats and interiors of your car.
Besides leaving the surfaces smooth and clean, it leaves a nice baby powder fragrance too. You may want to live in your car after that, I guarantee it.
Masking Tape
If you don’t own a car vacuum, don’t worry. There is the trusty masking tape to the rescue! Use strips to pick off the stubborn debris on your car mats and floors and even in hard to reach corners.
Toothpaste
If there are any metallic parts in your car, you can turn to our everyday teeth cleaners for help.
With the help of some toothpaste and a clean cloth, you can wipe off the dirt and any form of rusting on metallic parts, as well as clean the windows at the same time.
How cool is that! Finally, you can put those small tubes of hotel toothpaste to good use.
