More Measures Taken During Commissioning Parade For SAF Officers
An Officer Cadet Commissioning Parade continued as per normal on Saturday (14 March). However, some extra measures were implemented due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
A total of 227 cadets, 161 from the Army, 24 from the Navy, and 42 from the Air Force became officers of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), after undergoing 38 weeks of training at the Officer Cadet School.

Self-employed & Workers In Manufacturing Sectors Can Benefit From Second Stimulus Package
Workers in some manufacturing sectors and the self-employed may be among those receiving a boost from the government’s additional stimulus package.
This comes as the economy takes a hit due to the coronavirus outbreak. “Tourism, retail and food and beverage industries have been hit first by the fallout from the virus outbreak. As the situation evolves, there will be disruptions to the supply chains which will affect other sectors” said Trade and Industry Minister Chan Chun Sing.

Third Assisted-living Facility in Singapore Opens In Sembawang
Singapore’s third assisted living facility for seniors opened on Saturday, 14 March which will enable residents to have more independence in their daily lives.
They will also be cared for by trained caregivers. The facility, a renovated house located behind Sembawang Shopping Centre is the most modern in the St Bernardette Lifestyle Village group.

12 New COVID-19 Cases In S’pore, Including 9 Imported Cases & 1 Linked To Safra Jurong Private Dinner
Singapore ha announced 12 new confirmed cases for the COVID-19. According to the Ministry of Health, nine of which have been imported.
The imported cases include a 44-year-old woman who had been present at a mass religious gathering in Malaysia. In total, five local cases are linked to the event.
